Day 5 Revised - Las Cruces, NM to Big Bend National Park, TX

Continuing from Las Cruces, NM I will head for Big Bend National Park.  I've never visited this park, despite being a native Texan and having lived in Texas many years in my childhood.  Apparently I can't reserve a campsite on the day I expect to arrive (April 1), but the ranger I spoke to said there are many first-come first-served sites available, so I will have to trust that I will find one when I arrive.   Along the way Toro and I will stop for a hike at Guadalupe Mountains National Park

By preference it looks like I will prefer Chisos Basin Campground when I arrive at Big Bend, as it has flush toilets.  Here is the route, 424 miles in 7 hours 9 minutes:
